We’ve always known about ‘the waterfront trail’ along the Columbia River near the I-5 bridge (Washington side), but never realized that it keeps heading east and turns into a nice 8+mile round-trip bike ride through the Water Resource Center and on to Wintler Park.
We broke tradition and headed out for our bike ride FRIDAY afternoon, and were pleasantly accompanied by Matt and Kylee. We stopped halfway through for some “park time” (Malia’s bribe for taking care of Allie in the bike trailer) and had a yummy picnic dinner.
The view of Mt. Hood is so amazing on this end!
This isn’t the greatest of all pictures, but I love the sisterhood evident in how close they are sitting together and their look of concentration on the same object. Malia LOVES that Allie is getting older and becoming more fun to play with. Just tonight Malia heard Allie crying (she was having a hard time going down for bed) and said “Mommy, Allie wants to wake up and play with me!” We love our girls!
