Second to stopping at the ‘red ball store’ to buy purple paint, Malia chose to go to the zoo to see the whales last day Wednesday. Well… sorry girl, no whales reside at this zoo, but there are plenty of other fun things to do! After seeing all the big animals, (her favorite being the sea lions, the owie butt monkeys, the elephant and giraffe), we spiced things up a bit, hopped on the zoo train (always a hit) got off at Washington Park, strolled through the Rose Garden, played at the playground, then hopped back on the train and headed back to the zoo. It was a perfect day!
Allie is finally at that age where she has fun playing at the park too! We took her tonight to a park around our house where she climbed up the stairs on her own, crawled to the slide, turned over onto her belly, then went feet first down the slide! She had a blast. Yay! It was so much fun. Now we just need her to walk!
