Family traditions make this time of year so much fun! For three years now we’ve made it out to BiZi farms where they have so many fun activities for everyone to enjoy. Even though Malia got to go with her preschool class only days before, we couldn’t 1) pass up the nice weather and 2) who says adults don’t look forward to going too??? We love this place, and can’t wait for many more years of fun. But, it seems that every year we go with different people so to keep up with that tradition, we invited Auntie Laura and the Brewer grandparents. I mean… who doesn’t love having extra hands and help right? Ha ha… We all had so much fun!
We arrived first thing in the morning in an attempt to beat the crowds. This place certainly lives up to its name. Here’s a perfect picture of what life at home is like on a daily basis. I just LOVE the personality captured in this one as we are waiting for the grandparents and Laura to arrive:
First stop, Haystack Pyramid:
Then on to the ‘baby’ tractors:
Next up: the corn pit!
The Hay-bale maze was fun:
After hitting the petting zoo (which by now was pretty crowded and completely impossible to take a picture) we took a photo op:
We stopped for a pony ride:
Then took a candid walk to the pumpkin launch:
Thought this was a cute picture… like father like son. Love that they are wearing matching hats! Go Cougs!
Taking a tractor ride in search of the perfect pumpkin!
Our wheelbarrowing kiddos…
Auntie Laura and Malia scoping out a pumpkin:
All the girlies!
Takin’ a break:
Allie wouldn’t get up from her new found perch.
It was fun having the Brewer grandparents with us!
After taking the pumpkins back to the truck and taking a break with some yummy hot chocolate and cider, oh… and some nasty hotdogs and nachos for lunch, we headed into the corn maze which thankfully was not as hard as last year!
We were making fun of Aaron for being “man vs. wild”… he found our way through the maze by paying attention to the direction of foot prints, the way the grass was lying, and most importantly, the taste of the dirt.
We were so glad that Allie passed out… it sure is fun to enjoy things without a crying and demanding baby! LOL.
On our way out Malia climbed up the hay pyramid for one last hurrah. That’s her on top!
And here she’s being a silly “scare-crow.”
We will look forward to this tradition every year! Stay tuned for pumpkin carvings in a few weeks!
