Merry Happy Christmas!

We had such an awesome Christmas this year! It can make things pretty hectic having both families in town, which is why we have started a tradition of doing our own thing on Christmas Day. It has been wonderful! Christmas morning begins with sleeping in until at least 8am, then daddy waking the girls up with a jingle (this year it was change in a glass cup) and “Ho Ho Ho!” Malia comes running down the stairs saying “Wow! I heard it! Santa brings presents!” And then she stares in awe at the loot underneath the tree. With both girls so little, opening presents takes a LONG time, especially since each toy has to be played with before opening the next . It was so nice just to sit back and relax without worrying about needing to be anywhere. After a yummy waffle brunch and nap, and then more play-time with new toys, we headed off to a movie. We have done the movie thing now for three years. Since it is the only time we really go to the movies, it is something to look forward to, and boy did Malia have a blast! The last time we took her to a movie was 6+mo. ago, so it was really fun to watch her get into “Yogi Bear.” We hated the movie… but, it’s the things we do for the kids right? All in all it was a very Merry Christmas!
