Pumpkin Carving with the Hood

We love our neighbors in the hood and have been trying to start a tradition of "once a month get-togethers". It's been a little crazy with some of us just having babies, and another one of us prego, so it is really nice to set aside some time to relax and visit. (All of us have/will have babies only a couple months apart, and the two oldest boys are the same age. We really look forward to our kids growing up together!) Well, this month was Adam, Jenny, and Ava's turn to host and they thought it would be fun to carve pumpkins! We had some good eats, some delicious home-made cider, carved some spooky pumpkins, and just had tons of fun visiting and watching the kids play.

Here is Adam, Jenny, Charity and Steve using stensils to carve some crazy difficult pumpkins!
Aaron's finished product... if you look real close, his pumpkin has a matching scar.

Since my pumpkin had this fancy curly "hair", I made my pumpkin into a girly girl.

Here is Drea, 6mo. pregnant with a baby boy, and her handsome son Mason, who was less than thrilled about me taking pictures of him.

That is Jon taking up the background in this cute snapshot of Malia and I. :)

Malia loves to play with cute little Ava... they have matching cow-licks, and both have brown hair and blue eyes! Their daddys are going to have a real hard time when they get older.

All the kiddos (except Mason): Landon, Malia, Ava and brand-new baby Laelle.

Here is Landon already proving how Malia's daddy is going to have to keep her locked up; He couldn't keep his lips off of her. It was too cute...

We can't wait to get together with everyone again next month!
